It's for good reason that a growing number of Beijingers are making tracks in the sand to an imaginative nightspot, the Beach.

Inspired by a French outdoor lounge concept, the establishment is known for having one of the most spectacular rooftop pavilions in town.

A cylindrical box-lit bar and clusters of armless, blue sofas are set in sandboxes connected by a network of wooden plank walkways. Blue ground-lights illuminate the white sand at night.
