Party animals feasted on a sumptuous spread of poems recently at poetry-reading sessions with an international group of writers reciting original works at Fu to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

"As the only caf-salon-bar in Chaodou Hutong of Nanluoguxiang without cards slapping onto the tables and rattling dice, Fu aims to provide a casual atmosphere for my friends to share their enthusiasm for the arts and culture," says Haiying, owner of Fu.

Nestled in a quiet hutong on a branch of the bigger hutong of Nanluoguxiang, Fu was formerly a state-owned bean shophouse.
