STAGE

Prometheus Bound, written by Aeschylus, is part of a trilogy that includes Prometheus Unbound and Prometheus the Fire - Bringer, which was first presented in 465BC. Prometheus Bound is the only one whose full text still survives and is also one of the most popular works of Aeschylus. Numerous poets, writers, directors and people of the arts have been inspired by it.

There are two main themes that mark the version to be staged by the Greek National Theater: sinking and anguish.
