Channel tunnel fire
A fire broke out in the tunnel under the English Channel separating France and Britain yesterday, causing undersea traffic to be suspended. All passengers at the site were evacuated safely.
Eurotunnel, the company that operates the tunnel, said firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze.
