1,280 suicides last year
Officials in Austria say the alpine country hit a grim milestone last year: An all-time record of 1,280 people committed suicide.
The University of Vienna's Institute for Medical Psychology says the number of Austrians who killed themselves in 2007 was the highest since suicide records began being kept in 1970.
