Oscar Pistorius from South Africa fired up spectators at the Bird's Nest yesterday when he claimed gold in the men's 100m T44 with 11.17 seconds.

Considered the "fastest man on no legs", the 21-year-old double amputee is the world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 400m and the biggest star at the Beijing Paralympic Games.

With a total of 20 gold medals on offer, the Bird's Nest is the biggest source for gold medals and yesterday the hosts grabbed six of them.
