Redrow results

Redrow Plc, the UK homebuilder with the lowest average selling price, posted an annual loss after writing down the value of its land and work in progress amid the UK's most widespread housing slump in three decades.

The net loss through June was 139.9 million pounds, or 86.3 pence, compared with a profit of 84.4 million pounds, or 53.2 pence, a year earlier, St David's Park, Wales- based Redrow said yesterday in a Regulatory News Service statement. Sales dropped 22 percent to 650.1 million pounds.
