Special supplement: Miao singing and dancing

Singing and dancing are a way of life for the Miao people of mountainous Leishan county in Guizhou province.

They use song and dance to express their feelings, their understanding of the nature and the world and their view of the past and the future.

Leishan is the cultural center of the Miao people. Known for their hospitality and simplicity, they retain their ancient traditions in music, customs, clothing and building.
