Special supplement: World's biggest Miao village?

Along the Xijiang River is a village reputed to be the largest Miao settlement in the world, Qianhu Miaozhai - or 1,000 household Miao village.

Built around the hills, the number and style of its typical Miao buildings make the village famous not only to its people, but throughout Guizhou province. The town has 1,200 households and over 6,000 people. The Baishui River flows peacefully across town.
