Alibaba to combine arms
China's e-commerce company Alibaba Group said that it will combine the operations of two of its subsidiaries Taobao and Alimama to gain further synergies.
The combination of Alimama.com, an online advertising exchange portal, and China's largest auction site Taobao.com, aims to encourage increased trading and provide more choices for consumers, Alibaba said in a statement.
