Mitsubishi denies bid for Lehman

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc, Japan's biggest bank, denied a report it is considering entering the bidding for a stake in Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.

The Tokyo-based bank is not considering a bid, spokesman Takashi Miwa said after the London-based Times newspaper reported that the lender may seek control of Lehman.

The report cited people close to the bank it didn't name.
