Mineral project
China's largest diatomite project was launched in the city of Baishan, Jilin province, yesterday, with an investment of 500 million yuan.
Jia Qian, vice-mayor of Baishan, said the project would play an important role in promoting the development of China's diatomite deep-processing and new material industries. Baishan has over 50 percent of China's diatomite with a reserve of 70 million tons.
