MPs pull out of coalition
Lawmakers loyal to President Viktor Yushchenko have formally pulled out of Ukraine's governing coalition after the rival prime minister sided with the opposition to reduce his powers.
The loyalists' decision yesterday began a 40-day countdown for formation of a new coalition alliance or a new election to be called.
