Executive quits

Hong Kong-based multimedia company Tom Group said Vice-Chairman and Executive Director Wang Leilei resigned yesterday, but did not announce his replacement.

Wang also quit as CEO of Tom Group's mainland-based Internet arm Tom Online and as director of its joint venture with eBay. He has been a key force in shaping Tom Online since it started in 1999, and led the company when the Internet bubble burst in 2000 to become a leader in the wireless service market on the mainland.
