Farmer granted chance to study alongside sons

Chen Rongli, a 39-year-old farmer from Changjiang, Hainan province, has, after seven years' of hard study, been enrolled at the Hainan Agricultural School, where he will study alongside his two sons.

Chen's poverty-stricken background forced him to drop out of elementary school, but he swore to return to the classroom. Firmly believing that knowledge can change a person's future, Chen went back to school in 2001.
