TV broadcast at root of wrong number phone calls

A woman surnamed Li from the Changping district of Beijing, has been plagued with calls from strangers for the past four months since her number was mistakenly broadcast on a Chinese version of Crimewatch as that to call with information about a kidnapping .

When she realized why she was getting the calls Li called producer surnamed Zhu of the TV show asking him to correct the mistake. But, Zhu told her, as the program had been recorded and sold it would be impossible to change the subtitles or recall copies of it.
