Coercive double suicide attempt actor goes to jail

TV actor Xu Jun, 34, was sentenced to a four-year jail term on Tuesday in Changping district, Beijing, for attempted murder as a result of his failed double suicide bid at a local subway station on Jan 12.

Having had a flaming row with his former wife about a shared debt, Xu grabbed her and jumped down to the subway line as a train approached. It pulled up a meter short of the pair, but Xu's ex-wife was injured while being forced to jump off the platform
