'Spy' rumor dismissed
Wu Jinglian, a noted Chinese economist and senior researcher with the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), said in an interview with China News Agency that reports he was a US spy were pure rumor.
The DRC also issued a notice on its website saying the reports were not justified and that Wu's life and work were normal.
