BEIJING

The Beijing Olympics wound up with most Chinese people happy. But it also left a bitter taste for some tea dealers and teahouse owners in Beijing. Many of them had hoped to take the opportunity to promote their business but soon found out that only Coca-Cola and a Yunnan pu'er company were authorized to advertise their products during the Games.

There are thousands of other teas in China that are worth trying, apart from pu'er. While Westerners mostly drink black tea, there are green tea, yellow tea, white tea, oolong tea and dark black tea, as well as re-processed teas such as jasmine tea and fruit-flavored teas.
