China Mobile Ltd, the world's biggest phone company by market value, increased second-quarter profit 51 percent after cutting prices to attract users. Net income jumped to a record 30.8 billion yuan from 20.3 billion yuan a year earlier, according to figures from first-half earnings reported by the Beijing-based company yesterday. The shares rose the most in five months after profit beat the 28.3 billion yuan estimate.
