Alcatel-Lucent to get new chiefs 'soon'

The new heads of Alcatel-Lucent are expected to be appointed "very quickly", outgoing chairman Serge Tchuruk told French newspaper Le Figaro, while pointing also to a board reshuffle.

Tchuruk and Chief Executive Patricia Russo were ousted late last month after the telecoms equipment group cut its sales growth expectations yet again.

"Knowledge of the telecoms business will be vital as management will have to be operational immediately," Tchuruk told the French daily in an interview published yesterday.
