More than 80 percent of Chinese households tuned in to watch the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on Sunday evening, AGB Nielsen Media Research showed.
The global media polling group said 90 national and local TV channels broadcast the ceremony live, attracting about 50 percent of the country's population. The opening ceremony of the Games drew 90 percent of Chinese households.
