Death for ex Party boss

Xie Mingzhong, former Party secretary of the city of Wenchang, Hainan province, was yesterday sentenced to death with a two-year suspension by an intermediate people's court in the province, according to the website Hinews.cn.

Wen was found guilty of taking more than 40 million yuan ($5.8 million) in bribes while he was a member of the local government between 1992 and last year.
