Jixi, one of the major coal centers in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, has outlined a plan to develop industrial chains in coal, electricity and coal chemicals.
A number of large coal, coal-fired power and coal-chemical projects begun in recent years will help the city to realize its goal to become a new type of coal-based industrial city, local government officials said.
The city has approved 32 key coal and electricity projects to date that brought a combined investment of about 57 billion yuan.
