ADB appointment

Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Zhao Xiaoyu as vice-president. Zhao, currently the deputy governor of the Export-Import Bank of China, succeeds Jin Liqun, who retired on July 31, and will oversee operations of the South Asia, Central and West Asia and Private Sector Operations departments.

Zhao was ADB's executive director for China from March 1999 to September 2002.
