White Sox tie record with four straight home runs

China Daily | Updated: 2008-08-16 08:04

CHICAGO: The Chicago White Sox became just the sixth Major League team to hit four consecutive home runs in one inning during their 9-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Thursday.

The White Sox achieved the rare feat in the sixth inning, beginning with designated-hitter Jim Thome's three-run blast off Royals reliever Joel Peralta.

Paul Konerko and Alexei Ramirez followed with solo homers against Peralta, who was then relieved by Robinson Tejeda.
