Lenovo engineers providing technical services at the Water Cube were excited on the morning of August 11 when they witnessed the first member of Lenovo's Global Champion Program win a resounding gold - in the women's 100-m butterfly.

Australian swimmer Libby Trickett, who signed a contract with Lenovo in 2007, clocked a time of 56.73 sec, her personal best, to win the first Olympic gold of her career.

She rapidly grabbed the lead in the race soon after the competition started. Christine Magnuson from the United States and compatriot Jessicah Schipper followed her blistering pace to win the silver and bronze.
