Floods kill hundreds
Police say 40 villagers traveling on a truck have been swept away by flood waters and are feared dead in southern India.
Police official Mahesh Chadra Laddha says the truck was washed away while it was crossing a flooded bridge over a river in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh state. The road was under nearly 1.8 m of water Sunday.
