Off Track ..... Gavin may bury Games misery and go pro

British world champion boxer Frankie Gavin will turn professional now that his Olympic dream turned sour before even lacing up his gloves, according to former WBC supermiddleweight champion Richie Woodhall.

Gavin was sent home from the Olympics by the British team without even weighing in for the lightweight category because the team felt the weight loss involved would be dangerous to his health.

Woodhall, an Olympic bronze medalist from Seoul in 1988, believes there is only one possible route for Gavin to take now.
