Liu's paintings a paean to Peking Opera
Artistic profile
1984 Liu Linghua studied in the engraving department at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts.
1985 Liu's first work Voiceless Complain is published in the 12th periodical of Ao Mi magazine.
1986 The series painting Human Sacrifice was awarded the excellent works award in the first national interlink pictures and inset exhibition.
1988 The graduated works Tibet Group Paintings were selected to attend the Chinese Modern Engraving Exhibition.
1994 The powder painting Sunflower Girl was selected to attend the eighth national art exhibition.
1995 The engraving painting Wild Sunflower was selected to attend the third national engraving exhibition and collected by England Engraving Foundation.
1998 He started to focus his study on oil painting.
1999 Liu held a solo exhibition in Singapore.
2000 Liu held solo exhibition in China Art Museum in Beijing.
2001 His 26 paintings, including Century Rose, were selected as the only art pieces for exhibition during the APEC Shanghai Summit
2002 Liu's 18 oil painting masterpieces, featuring characters from Peking Opera, were shown at the Shanghai Art Fair. Mei Baojiu, son of Mei Lanfang, also a prominent Peking Opera actor famous for his exquisite performance of female characters, wrote an inscription for the paintings as "Chinese Quintessence Paintings".
2003 Liu held solo exhibition "The World of Colors" in Tokyo.
2004 Liu Chinese Quintessence Oil Painting Exhibition held in Paris as a project of the China Culture Year in France.
2006-07 His paintings attended luxury summits and exhibitions and the First National Cultural Industry Fair,
December 18, 2007 Liu unveiled a luxurious quintessence art album entitled "Famed over the APEC" in Hong Kong and presented 5,000 copies to more than 1,700 cultural organizations, museums, art galleries, libraries and colleges in more than 200 countries and regions.
