Message from Olympian

Koji Murofushi, hammer throwing champion of 2004 Athens Games:

I am focused on the upcoming Games right now. My fellow athletes and I have been training extremely hard and I am confident the Japanese team will provide the spectators and fans with stellar performances in Beijing. Being able to bring home the gold medal to so many supportive fans who cheered me on in Athens as well as from home in 2004 was an indescribable joy, and I hope to be able to do the same again this summer. The Japanese are tremendous lovers of sport in general, and every four years, an outpouring of that love is on full display as millions of them watch the Olympic and Paralympic Games intently and cheer on not only their own athletes, but great performances by athletes from all countries.
