China Daily | Updated: 2008-08-07 07:50

Melbourne Business School (MBS) has been providing professional management and executive education in Australia for over 50 years. It is the business school of the 150-year-old University of Melbourne, one of Australia's oldest educational institutions. Its main campus adjoins the central business district of the city of Melbourne.

Its highly ranked MBA is offered in various formats: full-time - which has a large component of international students - part-time and the executive MBA for senior managers taught in four month-long, fully residential modules. Part of the program takes students to the United States, Europe and China.

Its master's marketing program for working professionals is offered in Beijing in partnership with Beihang University. Taught by lecturers from both institutions, it is the same program offered in Australia and is conferred by the University of Melbourne.

MBS's Mt. Eliza executive education, in terms of revenue, is ranked among the world's top 15 open, tailored, and customized programs. The open portfolio includes general management, leadership and specialist programs.

Usually held at the heritage facility at Mt. Eliza amid the breathtaking surroundings of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, the programs range from three to 25 days.

MBS partners with corporate and government organizations to create entirely new customized programs to optimize people and business capabilities.

"The future is here," said Dean John Seybolt, an American who joined the school in 2004. "Studying at MBS, in whatever capacity, means you are part of a global community with its leading international companies, top lecturers, and students from around the world. An excellent education at a prestigious business school in one of the world's most livable cities - that's what we offer."
