Doc knows Olympic icon best

The good will of an ordinary man four years ago has been unexpectedly rewarded with the chance to carry the torch for the Beijing Olympics.

Forty-four-year-old Chinese doctor Li Zhi was selected to be a torchbearer after being recommended by his longtime pal - the former chairman of the International Olympic Committee Juan Antonio Samaranch.

"I am a lucky torchbearer who got the recommendation from my old friend," Li says.
