Bearing a great responsibility

Beijing teenager Ma Jiayang is proud of his two Olympic roles, as torchbearer and the only male representative from the host city to represent the Olympic Youth Camp (OYC).

On Friday, Ma and four colleagues will run the relay leg at Beijing 101 Middle School, the campsite of the 2008 OYC, on behalf of 481 campers from around the world.

"The Olympics have long been a dream of our Chinese people. I feel so proud and encouraged to be the torchbearer, because for one moment, our 100-year-old dream is in my hand," says the 18-year-old.
