Heidelberger's loss
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, the world's largest printing-press maker, posted its first quarterly loss in three years as higher raw-material costs squeezed margins and customers in the United States delayed purchases.
The net loss through June was 39.3 million euros, or 44 cents a share, compared with a profit of 8.1 million euros, or 12 cents, a year earlier, the Heidelberg, Germany-based company said yesterday in a statement. Sales dropped 11 percent to 656.9 million euros.
