Prokhorov to sell stake

Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov agreed to sell his 16.7 percent stake in OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel to former partner Vladimir Potanin for about $10 billion, Prokhorov's holding company Onexim Group said.

Prokhorov will receive about $6.5 billion in cash and 35 percent of OAO Polyus Gold for the stake in Russia's biggest mining company, Onexim said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
