Core Value System of Socialism

A set of principles about ideology, goal and pattern of social development, moral standards and other important aspects of the social value during the primary stage of socialism. Raised in October 2006 in the 6th Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, this system is meant as the cornerstone for installing a harmonious social culture in the country. It includes the Marxist theories and thoughts, the common ideal for the people to pursue socialism, patriotism, modern virtues with innovation at its core and the socialist concept of honor and disgrace.
