Man goes on killing spree

Hubei police have arrested a man who may be mentally unstable for killing six villagers and injuring another, Saturday.

Zhang Jinfu slashed two brothers in their 60s, a couple in their 50s and their mother aged around 80, and a 7-year-old boy. The boy's mother, Xu Lizhen, was injured by Zhang when she tried rescuing her son. The 43-year-old farmer from Xuyang village in Luodian town, Hubei province, used a sickle and a sharp rice harvesting tool in the murders.
