How to get to the House

China Daily | Updated: 2008-08-01 07:49

The "House of Switzerland" serves as a hub and a meeting place for the Swiss Olympic team, their fans, and influential decision makers in business, politics, culture and sports.

It is open to the general public and welcomes both Chinese and international visitors to experience Swiss sportsmanship during the Games.

The official House of Switzerland has been a fixture at the Olympic Games since the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan.

After approval by the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, the house was readied at Beijing's Dashanzi 798 Art Zone, number 706 Factory Hall.

In collaboration with the Lucerne Tourism Board, it attracted over 20 Swiss partners from the public and private sectors.

Open from August 1 to August 24, it will include both cultural and commercial events, including musical performances by popular Swiss artists and folk bands.
