Sharing historical riches with Land of the Pharaohs

Egyptians celebrated their nation's Revolution Day on Wednesday, and the country's Ambassador to China was no exception.

In 1952, Egypt became a republic, moving from its ancient past to the modern world. Since then, the nation has posted ambassadors all over the world, and its China representative feels he has the luckiest job of all.

Mahmoud Allam has been ambassador for almost three years, and just like the tens of thousands of Olympic visitors pouring into Beijing, he is amazed at China's rapid transformation.
