Nepal's stance on Tibet lauded

China appreciates Nepal's "necessary and just measures" on Tibet-related issues, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said yesterday.

Talking about the recent detention of Tibetan separatists in Nepal, Liu said the adoption of necessary and just measures by Nepal reflects its responsible attitude in this regard.

A group of violent Tibetan separatists recently gathered in front of the Chinese embassy in Nepal to damage China's interests in an attempt to separate Tibet from the Chinese territory, Liu said.
