Updated: 2008-07-23 07:37 Tax revenue up China's tax revenue rose 30.5 percent in the first six months from a year earlier to 3.26 trillion yuan, the tax administration said yesterday, compared with a 33.8 percent growth rate in the first quarter. China's tax take for all 2007 rose 31.4 percent to 4.94 trillion yuan. The country's stock trading tax rose by 34 percent year-on-year in the first half reaching 83.7 billion yuan, thanks to the hike in the stamp tax rate from 1 percent to 3 percent from last May until the end of April. Top three Sino-Ocean Land, Hopson Development and R&F Properties ranked as the top three in Beijing's Top 10 Real Estate Brands, with brand values of 3.83 billion, 3.81 billion and 3.8 billion yuan respectively. Jointly run by Ruifu Global Ranking and Consulting Group and Beijing Brand Assets Evaluation Co, the list takes 10 indicators into consideration, such as market shares and brand potential. IPR development Thomson Reuters Scientific yesterday signed a deal with IPDRC, a subsidiary of State Intellectual Property Office, to promote China's research and management abilities of intellectual property rights (IPR). IPDRC, together with Thomson Reuters Scientific, will offer capital and technical support for 19 IPR research projects, which is also part of the country's IPR strategic move. Herbalife sponsorship Herbalife, the US-based leading nutrition company, has signed a sponsorship agreement with China National Cycling Team on product supply.
