During this time Zhu employed 12 carers, one after another, to look after her, but each one found the work of nursing this elderly, sick woman too arduous and left. When the twelfth carer gave notice, Zhu decided to look after her mother-in-law herself. She sold up her company and has since been at home doing the work of a carer. The father of the boy surnamed Li, a fourth grade pupil at Fugu county, Shaanxi province, punished his son on Tuesday. The next morning the boy left home for school as usual, but angry at what seemed to him unjust punishment, drove his father's truck to his grandfather's home 40 or so km from his home. The boy's father was astounded when he received the phone call telling him about his son's joy-ride, saying he had no idea how the boy could have driven the truck safely on a busy road over such a long distance.
