Controversial stipulation to be revised

A draft regulation on public transport publicized recently to solicit public opinions has sparked controversy and debate among local residents and legal experts in Zhengzhou, Henan province.

The draft regulation states that passengers refusing to give up their seats to those, such as the elderly and infirm, who need it more, will be asked to alight or even fined 50 yuan ($7.25).
