Felled building sets new demolition record

The blowing up of a 45-m tall building in downtown Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, last week, represents a new record in the city's demolition history.

The firm responsible for blasting the tallest-ever building in the city had been working on the project for an entire month, according to Zeng Qingfu, an engineer at the local demolition company.
