Sea surge strands 200,000

Some 200,000 people were marooned in Bangladesh yesterday when a storm caused a sea surge to swamp a number of villages in southern coastal districts, officials said.

At least four people were also killed by a landslide in Teknaf in Cox's Bazar district, 450 km from the capital Dhaka.
