Counterfeit cash purchasers apprehended

The Yiwu Municipal Procuratorate in Zhejiang province initiated on Wednesday a public prosecution against three men involved in the purchase of counterfeit banknotes. The crime came to light during the investigation of a theft.

A mechanic surnamed Li stole a plastic bag full of banknotes from a car that had been brought in for repairs on Jan 11. It was when he attempted to deposit the cash at the local bank that the banknotes were found to be fake, and the police were called in.
