Sun moves to Austria Vienna

Austria's first division soccer club Austria Vienna confirmed yesterday it has reached an on-loan deal with Chinese international player Sun Xiang and will offer him a one-year contract as long as he passes a fitness test.

The club also has the right to extend Sun's contract another year if he is successful in his first season.

The club did not reveal how much the deal was worth, but Sina.com reports its value to be in the neighborhood of $1.6 million.
