 Japan's Diaoyu survey protested

Updated: 2008-07-01 07:51 China told Japan yesterday that an "aerial inspection" of the Diaoyu Islands by its lawmakers was a violation of China's sovereignty. The top official of the Foreign Ministry's Asian Department summoned officials of the Japanese embassy in Beijing to protest against Tokyo allowing such an inspection despite China's strong opposition.
