When Australian winery Penfolds set up operations in 1844, its first products were initially used for medicinal purposes. Today the company is one of the world's top wine makers. The Wine Spectator named its famous Grange variety as one of the top 12 wines of the last century.
The company, like many wine companies from all over the world, is now pushing its product in Beijing's growing wine market.
A company spokesman said quality was achieved through the use of multi-regional blending. Single appellation and single vineyard wines are available, but most including Grange, are blends.
